Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Speechy, published by Ascend Solutions L.L.C - FZ (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading or using Speechy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Speechy turns your speech (or typed drafts) into clear, formatted text using AI models. Output is generated automatically and may contain mistakes: review what you send. You are responsible for the content you create and share with it.

2. Free tier and subscriptions

  • The free tier includes a limited number of Clarity transformations per day, currently 10, plus unmetered Dictation subject to fair use. Limits may change.
  • Speechy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) that removes the daily cap and adds Pro features. Billing is handled by the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe, depending on your platform.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or through the Stripe billing portal for desktop purchases. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases follow those stores' policies. For Stripe purchases, contact us.
  • Prices may change; we will not change the price of an active billing period retroactively.

3. Bring your own key

If you configure your own API key (OpenAI or Google), your requests go directly from your device to that provider under your agreement with them. You are responsible for that account, its costs, and keeping the key secure. Free-tier limits still apply to Clarity transformations.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App to create or send unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent the App, its limits, or its security.
  • Resell or provide the service to third parties without our written permission.
  • Record other people without the consent required by your local laws.

5. Your content

You own what you say and the text Speechy returns for you. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process your audio and text through our and our providers' systems to deliver the service. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish anything on your behalf.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its branding belong to Ascend Solutions L.L.C - FZ. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or code beyond the license to use the App.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or abuses the service.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date revised. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, that constitutes acceptance.
